When Mickey Hart highlighted the end of his solo by popping that enormous string off of the Beam last night at Wrigley Field, of course it made me think of Col Bruce Hampton. And when I saw it was still hanging there I couldn’t resist grabbing it and trying to summon Bruce with it! Bruce might have helped Mickey pop it in the first place! Especially now that he can be everywhere at once…
