The Allman Brothers Band
Oteil, having joined the ABB in June of 1997, is now the longest running bassist in the bands 43 year history. He has recorded three "albums" and one DVD, and been nominated for two Grammys during his tenure in the band. He was honored to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) the 54th annual Grammy Awards in 2012 for his participation in the ABB.

Col. Bruce is a Southern musician, singer, actor, magician, artist, and soothsayer. He has been touring since 1963 with the bands IV of IX, Hampton Grease Band, Late Bronze Age, Aquarium Rescue Unit, and too many more to count.

Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir have joined forces with Grammy Winning singer/guitarist John Mayer, Grammy Winning bassist Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti to form the band Dead & Company. “We’re not done with these songs and they’re not done with us,” said Weir. “We’re gonna take these old friends on some new adventures.”

Oteil met Col.Bruce Hampton in 1998 and was a founding member of the Aquarium Rescue Unit with Jeff (Apt. Q258) Sipe, Jimmy Herring, and Matt Mundy. He recorded two albums with them and did countless tourdates including the HORDE tours featuring Phish, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

In 2008 Oteil was called by Mike Gordon to take his place in a trio he had formed with Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and Scott Murawski of Max Creek. they toured in '08 and '09. They reunited in 2012 in Costa rica at Jungle Jam and hope to do an album and do some tour dates in the near future.
Gov’t Mule
After the passing of bassist Allen Woody Oteil was tapped by Warren Haynes to fill a month or two's worth of dates as they tried to find a permanent replacement. His tour with Mule also featured Chuck Leavell on Keyboards. Oteil also recorded with Mule on the Allen Woody tribute CD and DVD titled The Deepest End.

Oteil released his first solo album in 1998. He followed with two more albums and toured heavily with the group until 2007.
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Oteil was a founding member of the Tedeschi Trucks Band which was conceived in 2010. The band has toured internationally, released two cd's, one of which has already won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Artist in 2012.

In 2001 Oteil was called by Page McConnell (of Phish fame) to start a trio with Russell Batiste on drums. The band toured from 2001-2004 and recorded two albums and a DVD recorded live at the Fillmore West.
